Lucie's first trip to Northern Minnesota, October 2006

Yes, this was Lucie's first trip to northern Minnesota, her first time to see snow, her first opportunity to run in the woods, and her first exposure to cold weather. She scared up some deer, flushed a number of grouse, cruised some timber, plowed some snow with her nose, and seemed to have a great if somewhat exhausting time.

Tech Notes: I don't really go out to photograph my dog, but she's always around when I'm shooting, so I usually just snap a couple of her in passing. She will point out things, usually wildlife, from time to time, but mostly she's just out there sharing the experience and occasionally adding a bit of humor. And that works for me.
