Here is is, sports fans, Big 12 football at its finest, with the University of Texas trying to go 10-0 and clinch a Rose Bowl berth versus the hapless University of Kansas, who are not having their best season. And I'm going to avoid saying anything about their coach. The score was 52-0 at halftime, as seen on the shot of the scoreboard below. Need I say more?

Tech Notes: As you may or may not be able to tell from the ticket stub, my seat was on one of the upper decks. These days, traffic is restricted in the stadium, so I had to shoot from there. Of course, there are regulations about bringing in big lenses, too, but I didn't have anything huge, so I sort of cut myself a little slack. I mean, really... And, of course, tripods are taboo, also. So I handheld my Nikon 80-400 VR, and the VR (Vibration Reduction) feature was clutch. Along with a polarizer and my D2H, I was able to get these shots from the stadium, and even though I would have loved to have been down on the field, I decided not to push my luck. Oh well, it was 85 degrees and a lopsided game, so we hit the exits around mid-third quarter anyway.
