Well, here's another set of photographs from a Minnesota fall. I was going to call this collection "Maya's Place," as she's the golden lab in most of these shots. Maya is my brother Jeff's dog, and I visit them often, usually in the fall. Maya is a real woods dog, confident and cautious and always ready for a cruise. She's slowing down a bit as she gets older and wiser, but hey, so am I. Oh, and the plate in the bottom corner is a breakfast of North Woods pancakes and venison. The real thing. Wish I could say it's my handiwork, but cooking is not a skill I own. Jeff, on the other hand, is off the map in that regard. That's one good thing about having your own website - you can talk about anything you feel like talking about...

Tech Notes: This was primarily a music trip, but I took the D2H along. Most of these shots were taken on a single morning walk with Jeff and Maya in the Owen Lake area. There was no room for a tripod on this trip, I kind of used up my space in the equipment truck with 4 guitars, an amp and a couple of large cases. So everything was handheld and polarized using my D2H and yep, you guessed it, the fave 24-85.
