Texas, 2002

Texas, 2002 (Various locations) -- Here's a collection of photographs from the Lone Star State, including images from the Pedernales River, the Hill Country, Austin and San Antonio. The only theme here is that all the images were captured in the year 2002, in Texas. The scenes in the top row contain bluebonnets, the state flower. The river photographs are from Pedernales Falls State Park. I trust the rest are self-explanatory.

Tech Notes: Because these images were taken over an extended period of time, I used both my D1H and D100 on various shots. Lens-wise, it was mostly my fave AF-S Nikkor 28-70mm 2.8 D, although I did use an AF-S Nikkor 24-85mm 3.5-4.5 G on a couple. I tend to use a circular polarizer on a lot of my outdoor daylight opportunities, usually the "Moose filter," which combines an 81a filter and a circular polarizer. This is an excellent filter and is available from Moose Peterson's Wildlife Research Photography website. I own a bunch of them in several sizes.
